Ensuring safe and informed pathways through Barnahus. Securing that all relevant authorities and services work together with the child in their best interests, from initial report to long-term recovery.

Multidisciplinary interagency services for child victims of trafficking - addressing the specific needs of child victims of trafficking and exploitation.

PROMISE 4 

The project provided partner countries with international exchange and training opportunities, which supports partners in elaborating their next steps and future funding needs. PROMISE provided exchange and training for Armenia, Estonia, and Moldova on Barnahus.

OAK Spain 

Evaluating the impact of Barnahus in the criminal justice system. Piloting an evidence-based tool to measure the impact of Barnahus in supporting the rights and the needs of child victims of sexual abuse.

CHYResilience

Exploring the role of child and youth resilience. ChYResilience aims to empower children and youth to play an active role as contributors to societal resilience and to remove barriers to their active involvement in prevention, preparedness, response, and recovery.

PROMISE 3

The third wave of PROMISE funding (2020-2023) culminated in the first-ever Barnahus Forum.

ProGuard

The provision of quality guardianship to unaccompanied children is key if they are to receive an appropriate level of care and protection and if they are to achieve their full potential.

The Non-violent Childhoods Programme

The aim of the Non-Violent Childhoods programme is to promote the full implementation of a ban on corporal punishment of children in the Baltic Sea Region through collaborative, multi-stakeholder planning and action.

The AudTrain Programme

AudTrain is a programme developed by the Council of the Baltic Sea States, which applies a child rights and a system-based auditing methodology in child welfare facilities.
