Teaching children about online safety with the same comfort and familiarity as when teaching road safety
As part of their strategy for 2020-2025, the expert group is undertaking a mapping of national child protection systems, and promising practice for prevention and early intervention.
The Expert Group on Children at Risk held its first meeting under the Lithuanian Presidency on 5-6 November 2020. The two-day meeting started with the Lithuanian CBSS Presidency conference “Children’s emotional health: what achievements the countries can be proud of and what challenges remain unresolved”.
ChYResilience aims to empower children and youth to play an active role as contributors to societal resilience and to remove barriers to their active involvement in prevention, preparedness, response, and recovery.
In adopting these documents, the Expert Group agreed that it will continue to stimulate dialogue and exchange on cross-border concerns, to develop and nurture strategic partnership and to contribute to the development and implementations of tangible projects to promote children’s rights and bolster national child protection systems.
PROMISE is supporting Europe to adopt the Barnahus model as a standard practice for providing child victims and witnesses of violence rapid access to justice and care.
The provision of quality guardianship to unaccompanied children is key if they are to receive an appropriate level of care and protection and if they are to achieve their full potential.
The logo was originally developed for the Non-violent childhoods project, and has been updated with the CBSS colors.
The evening marked an important milestone in the efforts to promote the Barnahus model as the standard service model in Europe for child victims and witnesses of violence.
