Olivia Lind Haldorsson

Senior Adviser & Head of Unit

Olivia Lind Haldorsson is a children’s rights advocate who has been working in the field of children’s rights and child protection for more than 20 years.

Olivia currently holds the position as Senior Adviser and Head of the Children at Risk Unit at the Council of Baltic Sea States Secretariat ( In 2014 she co-founded ‘Child Circle’, a Brussels-based NGO focusing on strengthening national child protection systems.

Olivia has played a central role in the Promise project, which promotes the establishment of Barnahus and excellence in practice to hear, assist and support child victims and witnesses of violence ( She is the author of the Barnahus Quality Standards and other practical tools to support Barnahus.

She has also worked as an independent expert with a wide range of stakeholders on strategic advocacy initiatives and regional projects in the field of children’s rights and child protection. Prior to that she worked with Save the Children International EU Office.

Shawnna von Blixen

Shawnna also serves as the PROMISE Barnahus Network Coordinator, in addition to her role as Adviser for the Children at Risk Unit at the Council of the Baltic Sea States Secretariat.

As the PROMISE Barnahus Network coordinator, Shawnna has extensive knowledge of how the Barnahus model has been adapted in different national contexts, and plays a leading role in coordinating and providing advice through bilateral and network exchange. She has played a central role in developing and coordinating training in the context of the PROMISE projects and the Barnahus network. Shawnna is furthermore an experienced project manager.

With a background in communications, Shawnna previously worked for the U.S. State Department and the European Union, and holds a master’s in political science from Uppsala University.

Anastasia Edwardson

Project Assistant

Anastasia has a obtained a double Bachelor of Science degree within Political Science and Peace & Development Studies from Linneaus University. She has also obtained a Master of Arts degree within European Studies from the University of Groningen in the Netherlands and Uppsala University. Anastasia has previously worked as a junior consultant/evaluator for several European Social Fund projects as well as coordinating/assisting different Interreg-projects across the Nordic region in collaboration with the Nordic Council of Ministers. She has also been involved in promoting children’s right to education in Cambodia and Hong Kong. She has thus a strong interest in promoting a safe cross-regional environment/cooperation as well as working with matters such as child rights and child protection issues.

Linda Jonsson

PROMISE Competence Centre Coordinator

Linda Jonsson holds a bachelor in social sciences and a PhD in child psychiatry. She has been working in social services and child psychiatry in Sweden and has been responsible for issues related to sexual abuse at the Swedish national competence centre against child abuse, Barnafrid. Her research focuses on different kinds of child abuse, especially sexual exploitation and online sexual abuse. In addition to her role at the CBSS, Linda is currently a senior lecturer in social work at Ersta Sköndal Bräcke College university, and engages in various expert and consulting roles in Sweden.
