As part of their strategy for 2020-2025, the expert group is undertaking a mapping of national child protection systems, and promising practice for prevention and early intervention.
Lithuanian Presidency takes leadership on promoting children’s emotional health in the Baltic Sea Region
The Expert Group on Children at Risk held its first meeting under the Lithuanian Presidency on 5-6 November 2020. The two-day meeting started with the Lithuanian CBSS Presidency conference “Children’s emotional health: what achievements the countries can be proud of and what challenges remain unresolved”.
ChYResilience aims to empower children and youth to play an active role as contributors to societal resilience and to remove barriers to their active involvement in prevention, preparedness, response, and recovery.
In adopting these documents, the Expert Group agreed that it will continue to stimulate dialogue and exchange on cross-border concerns, to develop and nurture strategic partnership and to contribute to the development and implementations of tangible projects to promote children’s rights and bolster national child protection systems.
The next meeting will take on 6 May 2021, with a focus on Prevention and Early interventions to address trafficking and exploitation of children.
